Eyebrow Transplant Nottingham

If you’re suffering from hair loss on your eyebrows, then you may be eligible for an eyebrow transplant at our Nottingham clinic. On this page, you will find everything you need to know about the eyebrow transplant (Nottingham), namely: procedure, aftercare, cost, and our Nottingham surgical team.

Overview:

At Hair Transplant Nottingham, we provide eyebrow transplants for male and female patients. An eyebrow transplant is a minimally invasive procedure and can be performed using the DHI or FUE method. It usually takes between 2-5 hours to complete. The price of an eyebrow transplant ranges from £3,000 – £5,000.

What is an Eyebrow Transplant?

In the UK, we’re always concerned about our appearance. We’re always thinking about the finer details of how we look. If a person has naturally thin, or patchy eyebrows, then this can begin to lower a person’s self-confidence.

Eyebrow transplants are used to enable patients to regain their natural-looking eyebrows, after suffering from eyebrow hair loss. The procedure is suitable for men and women but is more popular with the latter than the former.

Often, the eyebrow transplant is an option for patients who have been consistently overplucking their eyebrows, suffered an accident that has left a scar, or has always had naturally thin eyebrows.

During the procedure, hair follicles are taken from your donor area (back and sides of your head) and implanted into your recipient area (in this case, your eyebrows). Eyebrow transplants usually take between 2-5 hours to complete and you should have your final result around 9-12 months.

Eyebrow Hair Transplant Results

Are you wondering how an eyebrow transplant will look on you? Well, why not have a look at how eyebrow restoration looks on some of our previous patients:

Harley Street Hair Transplant Clinics female patient eyebrow transplant before and after

As you can see, this patient came to us having thin eyebrows due to micro blading. In an attempt to find a permanent solution for her hair loss, she came to us looking for more natural eyebrows. As you can see from the image above, we were able to thicken up the eyebrow area with new hair.

How Does an Eyebrow Transplant Surgery Work?

As stated above, the beard transplant uses the same method as a typical hair transplant. This surgical method is called Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE) or Direct Hair Implantation (DHI). Both of the procedures here take donor hair follicles individually from the donor area and implant these, one by one into the recipient site (eyebrow). However, as FUE tends to be the most popular option for an eyebrow transplant, we’ll tell you how this method works!

Before the day of your eyebrow transplant surgery, you will meet one of our GMC-registered surgeons and have a consultation with them. This can be conducted over video call or at the Nottingham clinic. During the consult, you can discuss your aims and expectations about how you want your eyebrows to look. From here, we will develop a treatment plan for you.

On the day of your procedure, you will have another short consultation at the Nottingham clinic with your surgeon. This is where we will map out your recipient site and begin your procedure can begin.

During the procedure, you will be given local anaesthetic, not general anaesthetic. You will be awake during the procedure, but will not be able to feel the transplant. We usually recommend you bring a book, tablet, or iPad with you to pass the time.

The FUE eyebrow hair transplant is split into a number of different phases:

  1. Extraction Phase – during this phase, the surgeon and the surgical team will begin to extract grafts from your donor area. Whilst the surgeon is extracting your follicles, the hair grafts will then be categorised by technicians into groups the number of follicles present in each graft (singles, doubles).
  2. Incision Phase – After a short break, the surgeon will then begin to make incisions in your recipient area (in this instance the eyebrow). As the eyebrow area is very small and delicate, only a tiny incision is made to shorten your recovery time.
  3. Implantation Phase – Once incisions are complete, the implantation phase can begin. This is where your hair grafts are placed carefully into the eyebrow area to achieve a lovely natural looking density and clean eyebrow shape. The reason grafts are initially separated into singles, doubles, and triples, is so that singles can be placed nearest the edge of your eyebrows line and the doubles can be used to add density in the body of the eyebrow.

Eyebrow Transplant Aftercare

For any hair transplant procedures, aftercare is split up into two key sections: the “initial recovery period” and “hair growth period”.

In the first two weeks after your eyebrow transplant, you will be going through the “initial recovery period”. At this time, the main aim is to rest and heal after your eyebrow transplant. During this time, you will want to take two weeks off work to minimise any chance of infection post surgery.

During the initial recovery period, you will be provided with a full eyebrow transplant aftercare kit. This will include a travel pillow, antibiotics, antiseptic cream, and an eyebrow hair shaping kit. You will, of course, also receive post-surgery instructions that give you information on how to proceed after your surgical procedure.

From week 3 to 52, you will then be in the “growth period”. It is at this point where your eyebrow hairs will grow. In most cases, we tend to find eyebrow transplant results take between 9 and 12 months to fully come into fruition. So don’t be too anxious if your eyebrows are taking some time to grow. People’s hair grows at different rates.

Eyebrow Transplant Cost

Eyebrow transplants do tend to vary a little in price at the Nottingham clinic. This is due to a couple of factors, that include: the size of the eyebrow area needing surgery, the complexity of the case, and the surgical method you wish to go ahead with (FUE or DHI).

Eyebrow transplants usually begin from around £3,000 for small cases and can increase up to £5,000 for patients suffering with total hair loss on both eyebrows.

Whilst other clinics may work on a “cost-per-graft” basis, we do not at the Nottingham Clinic, or any other of our UK hair transplant clinics. All of our quotes offered out are priced by area and are intended to provide patients with natural looking eyebrows that help give our patients younger looking appearance. A full count of grafts will be provided after the surgery.

Why Get an Eyebrow Transplant (Nottingham)?

There are a number of reasons why women tend to come to the Nottingham clinic with the aim of having an eyebrow transplant. Here are some of the reasons why previous patients have come to us looking for an eyebrow hair transplant procedure:

  • “For years, I have been plucking and threading my eyebrow hair to make it look nicer. However, I did not realise that this was having an effect on my ability to grow hair in the long term. When my eyebrow hair did not start growing back, I decided to look into eyebrow transplants.”
  • “Two years ago, I was in a car accident. Although I was not left seriously harmed, I have since had a scar that has prevented my eyebrow hair from growing. I decided to contact the Nottingham clinic to see if they could provide me with an eyebrow transplant.”

So, most the common cause of eyebrow hair loss tends to be from over-plucking. However, we do also have patients who come to us post-accident or injury, and we do also take patients who have suffered with permanent hair loss to the eyebrows.

FAQs

At Hair Transplant Nottingham, we do offer many types of hair transplantation. As well as eyebrow transplants, we do also offer beard transplants and hair transplant procedures. Our surgical team is trained in the FUE and DHI method. We can also offer finasteride to our patients.

This answer is very much dependent upon the size of your case. Generally speaking, an eyebrow needs roughly 600 hair grafts while the thicker brows could need up to 1000. If you would like to know the size of your particular case, don’t hesitate to book yourself in for a free video consultation.

There are a number of causes of eyebrow hair loss. However, from personal experience, most patients come to us looking for eyebrow hair transplants due to excessive beauty practices like micro blading, threading, and plucking.

Whilst many women may be able to do this for years without any repercussions, it’s always wise to do these treatments sparingly, as you may need an eyebrow transplant in the future.

It was an outstanding experience from start to finish. Naturally, I was unsure on which organisation to choose for the procedure, but HSHTC came across as professional and caring, as well as having a wide range of availability. There are negative reviews on all businesses, and this drives customers like myself away. However, something told me this would likely be someone with unrealistic expectations, or not reading into the procedure as a whole. I chose to ignore the negatives and read the positives. Sara the coordinator was absolutely amazing! She outlined everything and made it clear of what is expected and what is not. After a great consultation, I was passed to the next stage of meeting surgeon Dr Ditta. He presented extremely knowledgeable and passionate about what he does, so I decided to go ahead with the procedure. The surgery day was expected to be a long, but rewarding day. It started with having to shave my head (mandatory requirement for this procedure). I’d say to anyone the thought is worser than the event, and to just do it for the positives that will follow. Dr Ditta and his team were extremely caring and sensitive, especially with briefing before any painful situations pre anaesthetic. After that, I was allowed to top up when requested and leave them to do what they do best. The day as a whole was enjoyable and interesting to speak to the team to learn more about the procedure and get to know them. Lunch was provided (yay). It was lovely of them to offer, and you definitely need to eat mid procedure to keep energy levels. At the end of the day, I was given clear instruction of how to have the best success rate. It was through a video and in person. If you have questions, ask as it’s what the team is there for. The first few days of recovery can be quite awkward and uncomfortable, but I’d recommend booking 2 weeks off work to fully recover and let the grafts set. Once you get use to the sleeping situation, it’s easy and a lovely break from reality (put pillows below your knees and stack below head for pure comfort!). The aftercare products was extremely useful and easy to use. The grafts will fall out after a few weeks, it’s expected and you’re told this plenty of times!! Having a healthy lifestyle makes your hair grow quicker and thicker, so swap your diet to good healthy hair foods. When your transplanted hair grows back, it’s an amazing feeling, but only the beginning. As the months pass by, you’ll notice a massive improvement. During this process, you’ll have regular aftercare and the chance to raise any concerns. I personally didn’t have any issues and was just grateful to still be in contact and told everything is going as it should. I’m 6 months post surgery and I’m seeing the benefits hugely, and it’s not even reached maximum results yet, as this is one year. Thanks for an amazing service!

Having given some time and thought about having a Hair Transplant, I contacted Harley street hair transplant clinics. The consultant (Sara) explained everything regarding the procedure with Dr.Ditta and the technicians. From the beginning, Dr.Ditta explained the days events and how the procedures would be done beginning with taking a photo of my head and showing me where the grafts would be taken from and where they would be placed. The procedures would be done and completed in two parts, with a lunch break in between. Once completed, Dr.Ditta went through the aftercare, explaining what to do each day for 10 days. I was given capsules, shampoo, sponge, neck pillow for sleeping with and information regarding how to look after my hair. Dr. Ditta and his team were welcoming and friendly ensuring I was looked after throughout both parts of the procedure. Sara maintained regular contact to make sure recovery was going well. The results were great, patience is needed as the grafts start to grow, and then you can see the results. Extremely happy with everything, from start to finish.

Would highly recommend! Everything went very smoothly, communication was excellent throughout. I travelled from Edinburgh to Manchester for the procedure and all travel and accommodation costs were covered. Dr Ditta explained everything clearly and delivered clear and detailed post-op instructions. I was delighted with the whole experience and results so far are very promising!

Overall, my experience at the clinic was positive. Dr. Ditta was exceptional — he made me feel comfortable and at ease throughout the procedure, and his professionalism was truly reassuring. However, I was disappointed with one member of the team who, in my opinion, did not fully follow health and safety protocols. She had her hair down without a surgical cap and was using her phone while wearing gloves, then proceeded to touch my hair without changing them. This raised concerns about hygiene and cross-contamination. Her manner was also not very pleasant, which made the experience less comfortable. Although I was initially worried about the risk of infection, I felt more at ease by the end of my visit. I hope the management reviews this matter to ensure that strict hygiene and professional standards are consistently maintained. Aside from this, I was very satisfied with Dr. Ditta’s care and look forward to seeing my results.

Dear Team. Following my hair transplant last Saturday I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of the team, for making my journey as pleasant as possible. From the first consultation, to having my hotel booked, to the procedure itself, I couldn’t have been more impressed. Finally a big thank you to Doctor Ditta and the team, who were so kind when I felt unwell, making me drinking chocolate and reassuring me throughout the process. Add to this, their expertise and professionalism, what more can one ask for? I look forward to the final part of my hair transplant next year. Once again a big thanks to you all. Kind regards Keith Yates

Before the procedure I had online and face to face consultations with no obligations. These gave me all the information I needed and really put me at ease and gave me the confidence to proceed. Everyone was really knowledgeable and friendly and clearly very experienced. Booking the procedure was quick and easy and I got a date that suited me. The procedure itself went really smoothly I was able to put headphones in and listen to podcasts and was very comfortable. Afterwards I was given really detailed notes on what to do and what would happen and everything went exactly as planned. It was so reassuring knowing that advice was only a text message away and responses were always immediate. I'm two weeks post procedure now and everything has gone back to normal and the recovery is going just as planned. I'm so glad I did this and chose Harley Street Hair Transplant!

Great clinic with friendly and experienced team. I wanted my surgery done in the UK and found the clinic on Google. Process started with virtual consultations with patient advisor and then with the surgeon. FULL costs were given up front, with good finance options available. On the day I designed a new hairline with the surgeon and ended up getting about 1600 grafts iirc, which was good value for money. Clear pre- and post-op instructions given and recovery has gone as expected. Now waiting patiently for regrowth :) - Grant
